Stephen Hopkins started at Kendricks Creek UMC in July 2016. He is a native of Kingsport graduating from Sullivan South High School in 2008.
After graduating from the US Military Academy at West Point in 2012, he commissioned in the US Army as an Infantry Officer where he served for four years in the famed 82nd Airborne Division.
In addition to serving as the Pastor at Kendricks Creek, Steve serves as a Chaplain Candidate in the US Army Reserves. He is also in the midst of completing a Masters of Divinity (M.Div) from Asbury Theological Seminary.
He is married to Irene and they have one daughter, Lillian. His hobbies include general outdoor activities (hiking, fishing, camping), physical fitness, and reading good books.
