Better Stories. Since 1886, Kendricks Creek Methodist Church has been a witness in Colonial
Heights to the transformative Love of Jesus.
As a church, our passion is to help people write better stories for their lives. Because every
individual life is a story, we believe that the best story that can be written for our lives is found
when we apprentice our lives to Jesus and his way of being human. We try to keep things pretty
simple here by focusing on three simple ideas: Belong, Believe, Be Love.
Belong. Everyone belongs in the community of Jesus – not because they get it all right or even
believe in him, but because he believes in them. Everyone is welcome here.
Believe. We unashamedly believe the Gospel (that Jesus came to bring a Kingdom and offers it
to anyone who will receive it and Trust him). You can’t force beliefs, but we hope to steward
everyone on their journey of knowing and trusting Jesus as their Lord.
Be Love. Because we Belong to the Community of Jesus and we Believe his Good News, we can
selflessly and sacrificially offer ourselves in Love to the world around us.
