We all need a little help sometimes…or a lotta help.

One of the things I love about the Bible is that it is full of stories of real people with real lives and real problems.  Not everyone in the Bible is a hero or a moral example to follow.  Some are neutral…some are downright awful.  Some are held up as heroes of the faith.

The interesting thing about these heroes is that sometimes, they’re really not all that heroic.  Elijah is a great example.  Even after all the miracles, when he’s threatened by Jezebel (a really bad moral example) he prays, “Lord, take my life…”  Elijah was in a dark place.  (If you want to hear more about how he comes out of that place, I invite you to listen in here.)

I hope you’ve never been in that place.  But things like depression, suicidal thoughts, loneliness, isolation, anxiety…they’re real.  The suffering that comes with them is real.  And Jesus doesn’t intend you to suffer through these things alone.

That’s why some people I really care about started Eternal Freedom Counseling.  Whether you or someone you know is struggling with depression, anger, anxiety, co-dependence, addictive behaviors, or you just want to live a life of greater freedom and purpose, we are here to serve you.  The truth is that everyone can benefit from some form of counseling.

In an effort to eliminate as many barriers to mental, emotional, and spiritual health as possible, Eternal Freedom Counseling offers services at no cost to the client.  To translate: free counseling.*

If the biblical heroes teach us anything, it’s that maybe the most heroic thing is humbly recognizing that you don’t have it all together.  You don’t have life figured out.  You need to talk to someone.  You need other people and you need God’s help to live life to the fullest.

Praying for you today,

Pastor Steve
